Mindless Monday

Mindless Monday
(yes, i made that up!)
(and yes, i actually took this picture last night)
"Hungry?"

Crazy! Crazy life.

Life here has been a little nuts as I’m guessing it’s been for most of you.
I have two going to school this year so we’ve been busy buying school supplies.
I also have one homeschooling this year and we just got all our curriculum for him.  A beka looks HARD!  I have to admit I’m a little nervous!!!

A very good friend of mine just moved in with our family.  How ’bout that?  We’re in our 40s and just now getting to live together.  She’s taking some time off of work and will be with us for a while.  We are both excited and my family is looking forward to having her here.

So things are busy.  The kids are having trouble getting into the mindset of school, and so is mama.

Hope you guys are starting off a little smoother than we are.

IN HIM,
Julie

Well I finally ordered my curriculum!

This year we are using A Beka.  It’s our first year using it.  Last year we used My Father’s World.
I’m looking forward to getting our new things.  Here’s what I ordered for my 3rd Grader.  We will also be using Singapore Math, which we used last year.  Oh, and of course, GeeArt16

It has to be a twirl-ey dress!

MY little girl now must have every dress be a "twirl-ey dress" otherwise it is not worn but lives a very lonely life in her closet.

A lot of Wordless Wednesdays

Wordless Wednesdays seem to be taking up a lot of blog space here lately.  How did that happen?  Guess I haven’t had too many things going on that I find encouraging and uplifting.  Summer has passed by like pea soup since returning from our beach trips.  Every day the weather is 90 degrees and 20% chance of rain.  Do you know what that equals?  It equals HOT!

Football practice has begun and school will start in about three weeks.  My youngest boys are enrolled at a local Christian school so I will be homeschooling one 3rd grader and will have my 3 year old daughter at home.

We’ve have a lot of fun activities planned already so I’m looking forward to school starting.  It’s my 2nd grader’s first year in school.  I think he is excited but nervous.  I just found out that his teacher will be in her first year of teaching too so they’ll have something in common!

Are you guys about ready for school?
