    Hi Julie-

I know summer is about to end when we get our books ready. They are here and we are getting ready to start back.

Thsi year we are using Alpha Omega again for Language. I am trying the Math U See program with three of my children. We are also using the Beautiful Feet History. I think it will be a good fit for us.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

We're using An Old Fashioned Education http://oldfashionededucation.com/ (It's all FREE!) in addition to library books and every day life.

I'm talking about the twirly dress photos. Very cute! I have a girl who loves to twirl too, she's 10. I'd join her if I could!

  4. Hey,

I noticed that you wrote that you used My Fathers World curriculum last year. Did you like it? I noticed you were not using it again. I'm a homeschooling mom of five (one graduated already) and I'm about to start homeschooling my youngest this year and I really want to try something new. So I thought who better to ask than someone who has already used the Fathers World. Thanks Sandy Howell

  5. We use it for reading and language. For Math we use Math-U-See, and everything else we tackle ourselves. I really like the Abeka readers…my son always learns something meaningful.

    God Bless!

This year, we've switched from Sonlight to WinterPromise. We will be doing American Story 1 with the matching Language Arts (grades 1 and 3). I like that the readers (along with the adventure reading– or read-aloud) tie in with the time period in history. I am REALLY excited!

As to science, we're going to study God's Design for Life: The Human Body from Answers in Genesis. It sounds perfect for us. One chapter a week will give us a full year. If we forge ahead with 2 chapters, then I'll find a different topic from them for next semester.

Math is Math-U-See, which we absolutely love!

May God richly bless your school year!

    Marsha
