Do you follow God when nothing makes sense?

Do you follow God when nothing makes sense?
It’s really the only question I have.
Do you?

but a loaded one, for sure! If He is our Lord, what choice do we have? I have followed him when nothing made sense – a daily, blind, waiting on Him. But I couldn't say I was following Him, until I could see the experience in hindsight. It takes a great deal of prayer and spiritual discernment to know if we are truly following God, or following what we think/hope God might be saying. He will never ask us to follow in a way that contradicts what He has given us in his word, the Bible.

This won't be a long drawn out answer..

When I read your question I immediately thought ' wow, when all else doesn't make sense.. GOD ALWAYS DOES…' so that's where I always tend to follow.. after the only one that makes sense…

I usually pray a lot for discernment because in my human nature I keep trying to *understand* things, but I always go back to many of the Old Testament stories. Think of how crazy it was to tell them to march around the wall 7 times and blow the horns.

    He's still the same.

  4. is one I have asked myself over and over, and I am still asking.

I really hope that in the end, Father will look me in the eye and say "yes … you did".

The Father turns to the son at the end of the day and says, "She believed me today."

    I long to know that.

  6. Yea, I have followed Him when nothing made sense. It is the road that leads into the Holy Wild where God leads in ways that zig zag.

Have you ever noticed how Jesus healed differently throughout scripture? I wonder what the man thought when He bent down, spit on the ground, made some mud, then put it on his eyes.

    Strange way of healing, huh?

I take comfort in knowing that there are not many people in the Bible who God didn't take on some strange path that didn't look like it made sense.

He is quite the adventurous God. I heard it said "God is unpredictable but consistent. You cannot trust in what He is doing, you can only trust in who He is." That is what I try to remember. Especially in those times when God just doesn't make sense.
