WE GOT IT

Yesterday I went with a friend to pick out our curriculum for this coming year.  I'm so excited.
We're using My Father's World and Singapore Math.  We're already having fun with some of the manipulatives I purchased.  Yippee!!!
What are you using?

It makes me tired just thinking of all the curriculum I’ve got this year. I’ll be doing Letter of the Week with Jon and maybe moving into 100 Easy Lessons depending on how he does and I’ll just take math as it comes with him. Jake’s got some A Reason For and Bob Jones. I *think* I’m going to use VideoText Algebra with Joe, Institute for Excellence in Writing with both he & Jake, and Fallacy Detective. Then I’m still deciding about science and American history. Still more planning to do, but we’ll take it as it comes. :o)

    Love ya girl!

I’ve used Singapore math for years now. In fact, I just got 5A for my DS. I really love it. That’s my one mainstay….as well as Beautiful Feet history and geography guides. Love those!

  3. Hi Julie,

I’m having fun reading your blog. It’s been so long! I’ve been reading BOOKS, if you can imagine, so computer time has been nil.

Anyway, what we’re using. I love curriculum. It’s been 2 months since we breaked from school. We start again Sept. 11 and I am just now getting excited about planning.

So for Jordan, 10th grade, we’ll use Apologia biology with microscope and disection labs, Sonlight indepth American history, Teaching Textbooks Algebra I to finish and then start II, Jensen’s vocab, grammar and writing. He has lots of electives through his volunteer work at church, woodworking with Grandpa, bowling team and his part time job 🙂

Isaac is 8th Allen 7th and they will be using together Beautiful Feet guide and we will do an indepth WWII study, per Isaac’s request.

Isaac will also use Apologia general science, Teaching Textbooks prealgebra, LLATL, wordly wise, natural speller, and a writing prompt book and perhaps we’ll continue with their wordsmith books.

Allen is using Apologia Zoology science, Saxon 76, LLATL, wordly wise, natural speller and some other things.

Ahhh…I am getting excited for school to begin. A fresh start, wonderful goals (that by march I am wondering why we aren’t meeting lol), back into a routine after summer craziness.

So nice chatting with ya 🙂

We are using Weaver, Color Phonics, and we are going to use Ruth Beechicks methods for math and reading this year. I have my first week planned out. It will be fun. I am excited. We will start on August 14. 🙂
