The older you get…

Do you also realize the older you get the less you know?  Did you read my cactus story?  There's proof right there!

Things like that convince me that I know less and less with each passing year.  You know, when I was 16 I knew everything!!  Why am I getting dumber?

There are things I don't understand…

  1. My daughter isn't even two yet and already she doesn't want one stitch of clothing on her babies.  Why?
  2. Why is true surrender and submission sometimes easy and sometimes like knives in my heart?
  3. Is there still One perfect will from the Father or are there just sometimes choices He gives us to make because He loves us and we're His kids.
  4. If so, why does HE think I have any idea whatsoever what will truly make me happy?
  5. Why do boys seem to always want to beat the living daylights out of one another?  Even when they are brothers!
  6. Can Jesus come back now?  I'm ready.

These are things I ponder.  Like the cactus seeds….so small, so tiny and yet I see pumpkins.

Wondering in HIM tonight…
Julie

I am getting dumber too! LOL Thanks for helping me put my finger on what is happening. Great post!

  3. There are so many things to learn, and so many things we didn’t really need to learn.

    >1st thing – in considering your daughter and her desire for naked babies i have come to the conclusion that she, in her innocent unknowing knowledge, has some kind of desire for the original state, we were naked in the beginning, you know, before the fall – and it occurs to me Jesus does not turn the little children away, even says we must come with the faith of a child – maybe she is not so far off track after all – hahaha. “Lord help us to retain a childlike faith”

    >2nd thing – there’s just something about the root of pride, oh how painful it is when we must do, or not do, what that flesh wants to do “me, myself, i” if ya know what i mean, ‘Thank You Father for Your Divine Nature living in us, keeping us, sanctifying us, making us able to withstand the stabs in the heart.’

    >3rd thing – most assuredly there is the ONE will – to make us into the likeness of His Son, and i certainly know He allows us the choices that we make – it’s that “all things work together for good, for those who love God and are called according to His purpose” verse in Romans 8. O how i love His Word !!!

    >4th thing – a very interesting question, i dare not answer 🙂

    >5th thing – answer is probably very close to the principle of answer to number 4

    >and last but not least………….. i am having so much fun with your post, and i want to thank you for suffering through my comments, hopefully after this you won’t bar me from your blog 😉

now for the final ponder………. MARANANTHA LORD JESUS, COME QUICKLY, AMEN !!!!!!!

good night, sweet dreams, His peace and grace remain with you and flow out from you to all, for His glory.

This was very thought provoking!! I do not know ANYTHING! It just makes me depend on God all the more I guess. And, I have no idea why, but my boys beat on each other all the time too. It drives me crazy, but I calm my heart with the fact that they are boys, I’m a girl, and I just don’t get it!

    Blessings!

    Beth
