A wonderful night

Several weeks ago my oldest two sons asked Jesus into their hearts and tonight they were baptized.  Our church uses the local YMCA for baptism.  My husband and our good friend and pastor both baptized them.  These are pictures from tonight as well as the sky God blessed us with tonight.  My husband and I had a similiar sky on the day we were married.  God showed me He was smiling tonight and that was a blessing and a confirmation to me and to my heart that all is well with Him.
He IS an AMAZING GOD…..

This is so great! This is absolutely the best…kids who love and serve the Lord.

  3. What a glorious treasure to hold in your heart. What a beautiful night. What an awesome, gracious, merciful and compassionate God and Father, who hears our prayers, answers them (not always in our timing) perfectly in His perfect wisdom, and i shall pray for your family and sons; may they find Him more and more interesting and awesome as the minutes, hours, days, weeks, and years go by; may they be enlightened through the Holy Spirit to grow in the grace and the knowledge of the Lord; may their parents be moved by the wisdom and Spirit of God to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, to understand what that is in the most difficult of circumstances, and in the most joyous of circumstances; and may they be brightly lit for Jesus in this dark and perverse generation – glory be to the Most High, our God and Father, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  4. I almost cried when I saw these pictures. You are a blessed woman tonight. Man…did you even HAVE enough Kleenex? God is good…all the time.

Oh, congratulations, Julie, and welcome to the family (to your sons)! I am so happy for you. 🙂 My oldest is currently working on this step, but I still have three I’m praying for. What a blessing! :):)

    *hugs*

  7. Julie, that is so precious! And your sunset is beautiful.

Doug was able to baptize the boys with our pastor. It was very special. We were going to a small church. The same one Doug went to as a child. He baptized the boys in the same church he was baptized in. It was so special.

Thanks for sharing your special evening with us.

I am sending out a “mass apology” to everyone I told about “The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge”. I have received some comments in regard to leaving the button on people’s blogs and I feel the best way to make sure there aren’t others who are offended, is to apologize to those I sent the notice to.

I feel just horrible that some thought I was “advertising” in some way when my intention was to share with other homeschoolers what I was offering as encouragement and a way for us to join together.

If you are one who was upset by my post, please feel free to delete it and email me or leave a comment on my page and I will personally apologize. To those who have joined in The Challenge, I’m so looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us and hope we will all be able to bless our families and grow in the Lord through it! Thank you most importantly for seeing my heart. I never meant to disregard anyone’s post when I left the comment about the Challenge, and want you all to know that anything you ever have to say to me, whether on topic or not, is more than welcome on my blog. I will also be making a new category on my blog that will list those of you who don’t mind getting urgent prayer requests or information from time to time. I hope this way I will be able to avoid upsetting anyone similarly in the future.

Thanks for allowing me to comment on your blog. I hope you will accept my apology (and not be upset that I’m “off topic” from your post, but I have many people to get to still tonight).

    In Him,

    Amy Verlennich

(And thanks for sharing these pictures… this is so amazing and I love to see this!!)

  9. The pictures are beautiful! What a joyous occasion! I have enjoyed reading your blog also. My boys are 8 & 7 and they are still enjoying Franklin Graham’s book. He was a rebellious child/boy. Which really plays to my kids but they are getting the point that rebellion is not a good thing :o)

    Have a wonderful night~
