Who'd a thunk it?

Do you know I have searched my town and the one next to us for a Globe……no one sells globes anymore.  The teacher's store didn't have them.  Neither did Stuffmart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General or Staples.  Doesn't anyone use a globe anymore?????
Good Grief!!!!

  1. I have been looking for one for over a YEAR now!! The only one’s I can find are the newer ones that are all mechanical and for babies. I want one that looks REAL and can be used for years! I guess I just have to wait till garage sale season starts and keep looking in the GoodWill stores. Let me know if you find a source!!

I have also considered just buying a flat map to put on the wall that has everything that the globe would have (exccept the roundness). We have a HUGE wall in our basement.

I think Sam's Club may sell them still.

Edited to say, they DO. At least online. Go to sam's club online and do a search for globes. They have two different ones.

Hey! (Hee hee..being a fellow southerner, I know you understand the use of “Hey” vs. “Hi”!). The globe we have is one from when I was a little whipper snapper….pre-breakup of the soviet union…LOL. Come to think of it, I don’t know when I last saw a globe. Mabye at the Discovery Channel store on line or at an airport 🙂 Ohhh, that trip to Palm Springs sounds WONDERFUL!!! I hope everyone is feeling better.

  4. My dh left today and won’t be back until the end of the month. Sigh. I hope you are all well soon.

  5. Do you have a Toys R Us or a Target. I know that our stores here in Oregon had them last year even at Fred Meyers.

You can always try the web too :O)

Have a great day and Happy searching,

    Christina
