I wanted to share a few pictures of my family with you. We had such a good (but too fast) time in NC visiting them. We’re a crazy bunch but what family isn’t? I also have a few to share of my birth family. But I may have to transfer to the new computer first.
Here’s my mom….
(She’s beautiful isn’t she?)
Here’s my dad and my dog…
Here are my nieces….
Aren’t they beautiful?
Here’s me and my prince…
And here’s a picture my sister took of all the cousins…
Here’s my crazy sister (see where the girls get it?)
And here’s baby girl…
More to come!
Some of the Family
How do you know you have boys?
These hang on the Christmas Tree!
I think I need to paint something pink!
Be creative!
More Christmas Tree Farm Photos
I wanted to show you a couple more of the pictures I took from the farm Saturday. The house and the tree on the farm are so beautiful.
Isn’t that amazing?
Here are the nice guys who shook almost all of the dead pine needles out of the tree. They have this cool machine that shakes the trees. It’s quite an operation.
And these guys were trying to get the largest tree into the back of their pickup. The thing had to be 12 feet tall. I wondered where they were going to put it.
I’m still waiting for someone to take a stab at our outing a few days ago. Here’s another picture as a hint!
Any guesses??
Come on now!
What boys do at Christmas Tree Farms…
I promised a more encouraging post than last night’s “All I want for Christmas” post so here goes.
But I have to warn you I just took my second dose of pain medicine so if I go off the deep end (again) you know why.
My hubbie left to go out of town for the week today. Baby girl cried all the way to the dentist. They all hate it when daddy leaves.
We picked out our tree on Saturday.
And here’s what boys do at Christmas Tree Farms…
They run wild through the rows of trees with light sabers…
They stab perfectly innocent trees into submission…
Who me??
“Hey, now that you are looking, check this out mom!”
The the big boy came on the scene to show the smaller ones how to slay those Christmas Trees.
It’s all about the saw man!
Then dragging the wounded tree back to the car!
We picked a pine this year to save on money. It’s a fat fellow. Maybe this week we’ll gets lights and ornaments on it.
Otherwise I’m going to need more than pain medicine to deal with the wrath of my kids if there are no lights on the tree by tomorrow night!
Hey, any of you guys wanna come over to help. I promise I won’t smile at you.
Lest you be really scared!!
IN HIM,
This time has just passed too quickly….
Remember the how long the days were when we were kids? Time almost stood still. Christmas took at least 2 years to roll around. And summer vacation seemed endless.
Now, at 43, the days pass all too quickly. Fall seemed to whiz by this year and we’re already into freezing temperatures at night and 40 degree days. Where does the time go?
My oldest is almost ten and my baby is four. Wasn’t it yesterday that I had three in diapers?
Winning a Championship???
Some might say this…..
Which I agree with!
But I’m thinking it’s more like this:
Winning a Championship…..hard work,dedication and perseverance.
Praying after the game and a season dedicated to the Lord?
Priceless!!!
A fantastic run…
One of the opening plays of the game our son ran about 60 yards. It was a fabulous run. Here it is play by play…
We’re still reeling in the 32-16 victory!!
The trophy…
Big brother (middle guy) gets in on a little photo action…
Dad (coach) and son after the game…
It’s Official!
We won our Championship Game today in the 6-8 year old division. Our family has never won a championship! It was an awesome day with beautiful weather and a great win! Our middle son played a terrific game. The whole team is certainly blessed!!!
More later…
The Birthday Boy
The much awaited, anticipated birthday finally arrived. Our youngest son shares his birthday with my sister and my great aunt (just trying to keep it all in the family)!
Here’s a couple shots from his day!
Photos…Raw and Unprocessed and our Field Trip
In attempt to “get over” my desire to post process until I’m cross-eyed I am posting pictures from today’s field trip and last night’s visit from Papa Bill.
Enjoy…
Walking up to the falls….
Trying to get a little cool spray from the waterfall. It was an incredibly warm day.
Another family who was there snapped a picture of us! Baby girl was NOT happy about having her photo taken…
Later she perked up a little…
“Rosie” came along for the trip too…
Baby girl washing a little boo-boo off in the cool water…
“Mom, my toe is still bleeding!”
“I’m going back to the water!”
Here’s a few from last night when Papa Bill joined us at football practice.
I did fool around with this one a little because it was dark but I loved Baby girl’s expression when I called her name.
