None of the insect repellents on the market appeal to me since our skin is our most absorbent organ covering, I don’t know, about 100%, of our body.
So I found this ?advice on the Make homemade bug spray page on GreenYour.com
I also found this great piece of advice here on Journey to Forever.org.
Apparently you can grow lemongrass (go figure) and it’s a wonderful mosquito repellent. Just follow her advice. Not sure if the stuff can be grown everywhere but it looks good to me!

hi,just testing comment settings.
Hi Julie! How is Florida? Now that it is summer, I am hoping to have more time to read blogs and blog more myself. Hope all is well!
Corey
Hey Corey,
Florida is well, hot. I’ve not blogged much because there’s not been much positive to say. Moving is very difficult.
Ten years ago when we moved to Liberty it took a year or so.
I’m needing it to take less time now. But it’s really, really hard.
OK, I just found my way back into my blog and can finally comment again. I’ve been reading along with your entries about the new house via bloglines, but couldn’t comment because I couldn’t log in.
I like how you have your categories and archives in your sidebar. I think I’m going to need some help to figure out how to do that stuff.
Of course, now I’m wondering about my own comment settings. Sigh . . . One thing leads to another.
Nancy,
I’ve had a hard time adjusting to the new stuff too. Not sure if I like it all yet. The move has been really tough. I remember when we moved from KY I was so depressed for about a year and pregnant with Luke. I feel the same way again. There are many things I have good to say so I’m trying to keep my mouth closed but this move has been very hard. My sister left today after being here almost a week. We’ve had a good day until just now. And bam, the depression sets in again. It’s a trying time.
