Rainbows and Photoshop

As we were leaving the lake last week it rained for a bit before the sun (Son) came out again.  I was driving out of the park when between the trees we spotted this beautiful rainbow.  It really was magnificent and hard to capture in it’s spectacular beauty.  As always I’m reminded of God’s promises to us, to me, as I gaze in wonder at such a awesome sight.

I slammed the car into park and climbed down an embankment to get this glimpse between the trees.  Since I had a hard time capturing the rainbow in all it’s glory I tried using Photoshop to allow you guys to see what I really saw that day.

Before a little saturation and help from Photoshop….

And after….this really was how magnificent the rainbow was!!  Where it ended on this patch of sandy shore was the most wonderous glow.  It was almost as if the beach was on fire.

Lots of times I think I use Photoshop to make something appear better than it actually was but this time it was to show you guys just how awesome something REALLY looked.

Isn’t God good?
What are the promises He’s made to you?

Always in Him…..

Gorgeous!! I need to try some Photoshop someday.

The show…UGH! I could NOT believe it!!! YUCK. That show makes me mad.

I say Jason will find better. 🙂 I guess it makes sense that a girl who would sign up to be on "The Bachelorette" in order to find love would not be the kind of girl who wants a traditional guy and a traditional life. Maybe Jason will be the next Bachelor. 🙂

    That is just beautiful Julie!

Yes I think sometimes Photoshop makes things look different from reality, but I think it can make a shot match reality, too. It is rare to get a shot SOOC that looks as good as reality.

Sounds like you are gearing up for school now. Is summer ending so soon? It feels like it has barely begun over here.

Beautiful job on boosting the rainbow's colors. My camera really dulls the photos I take and I have to do a little something to every photo just to match reality.

I love thought how God needs no help from Photoshop. His creation is gorgeous as is!

Wow, that is truly awesome. I don't think I've ever seen the END (beginning?) of a rainbow before! I always thought it was impossible, actually. Obviously not!

Thank you for the kind comment over at "my place"…

Love these Pictures that you took at the lake. You would think that we as a family would go camping there since it is just down the road. Can't work too much. I have been sitting here at the house reading your blogs and enjoying the pictures and trying to clean up my house as well. Take care, love ya, mean it, Kathy
