Today we were originally going to Congaree National Swamp for our field trip but plans changed and we ended up at the Greenville Zoo. I got a few really great pictures I'd like to comment on…
First of all…there were more monkeys in our family today than at the zoo
Second, this has got to be one of the best shots ever of my three boys. They are sitting on a bear (okay, not a real one!).
Third, here's the new baby orangutan at the zoo. Isn't he/she cute?
Fourth and Fifth….
IF there was such thing as reincarnation (and please know I'm saying a BIG IF….I do not believe in reincarnation) and if I came back as a chicken I would be one of these. They are way too cool. I'm sure some of you homesteaders know what they are but I just think if you gotta be a chicken/rooster/hen you ought to be one of these guys.
Check out those hats!!!!!!!
And if ya gotta wear PJs this is the way to go…..love them legs!
You have adorable kids, and the chickens are a hoot too!
Carol
That truly is a terrific photo of your 3 handsome sons! I love the first photo in front of the leopard…they’re so calm! (I know, I know..there’s glass there….isn’t there??)You’ve reminded me…this is a great time of the year to visit the zoo 🙂
LOL! Love those chickens…:) That shot of your boys *was* a fantastic shot…and we have been to that very zoo several times. Don’t know if you remember or not, but we used to live in Spartanburg, and we still have family there.
Glad that you had a great time!
Gayle 😉
What precious pictures of your family!!! way cute!
I love the one of your boy blowing the dandelion!! Thanks for dropping by my place and for your comments! Your boys rival mine in cuteness! (but only rival – you know – mine still win in my eyes!) LOL
Your little chicken is a white crested black polish chicken. We have one (had a 2nd fluffy top that didn't come home one day), not sure you want to come back as one though– they usually don't live very long if they free range because all the fluff makes it hard for them to see preditors. The other with the "fur" on the feet could be a Cochin or Silkie– both breeds have furry feet. Don't have any of either of these yet, but they're on our list for future buys. We do have an Auracana, which lays green eggs. There's a picture of one of the eggs on our family blog. homeskoolfamily, just in case you or your cuties are curious.
Have a wonderful day,
Christine

Such a nice comment from you waiting for me today. I cannot believe how well things are going. I don’t know why I was so worried about it. I know there will be rough days, but God has been so good to give us such a good week. This week started out really well too….I just love home schooling. Your pictures from the zoo are so cute. You’re right…that is a great shot of your boys.
Hope you have a great week…..Love, Kathy
