A little housekeeping…..

We've gotten the school room almost ready.  It looks so good so I hope to post photos soon.  I've still got some things I want on the walls first.  My two oldest sons were going to participate in a cottage school (1 or 2 days per week classes for homeschoolers) at a local church but I got a phone call today saying the 1 day class was cancelled and that's the one we were planning on attending.

So now we've got to make a decision about spending twice as much money for 2 days and driving a lot more OR just doing all their work at home.  I'm leaning toward's home because two days a week makes life feel too hectic for me.  I'm still praying about it.

WARNING:  Just this morning I opened up my email to find about 40 or so Anonymous blog comments.  I've got my blog settings so that I get an email everytime someone comments.  At first I thought it was a mistake and that maybe someone's child had gotten on their computer but after looking further I realized someone had posted pornographic website links in each & every comment.  I had to hand delete all of them so someone doesn't accidently.  I don't know if someone hacked into HSB or actually put these comments on my blog specifically.  Please be aware of this in the event it happens to you.  Don't people have anything better to do??

Several of you have asked how I'm recovering from surgery.  Everything is going great.  I'm starting to feel back to my old self except for some horrible headaches.  If you feel led please pray for God's healing.  They are driving me nuts.

My two oldest boys are playing football and love it.  I'm posting some pictures of my daughter and youngest son at practice the other night.  Who says girls can't play football??

Well off to bed.  Enjoy the photos.

I am praying for your headaches! That is one malady that seems to be debilitating. Whenever I get one, I am down for the duration. 🙁

I can’t wait to see pictures of your schoolroom~

  2. Hi Julie,

I also enjoy seeing pictures of your kids. You have a beautiful family 🙂 I’m sorry about your headaches. I’ll be praying for you. I must have missed what you had surgery for, so I guess I’ll read further 🙂

When are you starting school? We’re not starting until 9/11. We are taking 2 field trips before school, though. We always go to The Canfield Fair the Thursday before Labor Day. And we usually go to the zoo before school and are heading there with friends on Sept. 8th. My friend from church pulled her kids out of ps this year. Her daughter is in 9th grade and is friends with the boys. So we are looking forward to doing 1 field trip a month together. I told Marla that will be as many field trips this year as the last 5 or 6 years combined LOL. I am just not good at planning those things but I vow to do a better job thsi year 🙂

Well, we’re at the lake and the boys and Doug are all sleeping. I should wake Doug and head to bed. But the quiet is so lovely 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend~Kelly

I love the pics! Someday I will figure out how to fit all those pics I have on my blog and you can see my cuties too. I am sorry to hear about your unwanted posts. I often share blog stories and pics with my kids, so I will be very careful from now on. I wonder how they can do this, with all the added security on HSB! I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. You are often in my prayers and thoughts. Thanks for sharing your stories on your blog, they are fun to read and often give so much encouragement! God Bless!

  7. I was just wonering what postions they are playing. Also if your going to teach them to start wearing orange and chanting rocky top, because we all know that orange and white is so much better than orange and blue. Atleast I think thats Auburns colors.

    Talk to ya later.
