There are those times

You know…
those times.

The ones that seem to make a mental picture you carry with you for a long time.

Tonight I had one.  Baby girl was swinging.  The weather here has been unseasonably cool, so wonderful.  We decided upon a popsicle to go along with our swinging.

Dad joined us.  And she just had to sit beside him to share her popsicle.

Daddy's girl.

Don’t you just want to snuggle her? In preparation for a scrapbooking party I’ve been looking at old pictures recently and it made me sad in a way….your little gal will be a BIG gal in a blink. It’s amazing. I can’t stand to look at some of the pictures. Like when they had fuzzy bed head. What mom can resist that? Or the popsicle one you took. Drips away, no biggie. Soon, she’ll just learn to lean over and let the drips fall. SAD.

My oldest, who is 7, was asking me how long it would be until he went to college. When I figured it up in my head it was only 10 years. That’s all I have left with him, it’s almost 1/2 over. YIKES. I want to hold them while they are young and never let them go. Baby girl is growing way too fast. I still love the “dink mommy” for drink and the “shoe mommy shoe” or the “thank mama” when she says thank you.

wonder if they’ll all be little again in heaven?
