The Real Me…

in honor of randi's post THE REAL ME here's my mess this morning…

three loads waiting to be folded and piled in the hallway….

my unmade bed and my middle son wondering why in the world i'm taking a photo of it…

the dining room table which is where EVERYTHING gets piled as we walk in the door or clean off the kitchen table for dinner…(and yes, i'm redoing the chairs)

and here's the kitchen near the stove where everything ELSE gets piled…(note wall patching stuff, dusting stuff, gummie bears and “welcome home” flowers all there)

and here's middle son again trying to act like he's asleep with Louie (one of our cats) and my Dell where i type to all you wonderful fellow bloggers…

so there you are.  my messy house.

the bed's still unmade. i haven't had a shower.  3 more loads are on the bed ready to be folded, i spilled the plaster we were mixing tonight all over the kitchen counter top and while I was cleaning up (because it went all over the coffee pot) what i needed hardened (ugh).

but we did make three loaves of banana bread today.  i managed a 15 minute cat nap.  and my hubbie is snowed into nyc.  it's our anniversary (i was wrong about it being yesterday).  it was 70 degrees here today though.

there's always tomorrow
IN HIM…

It looks like home to me! Your kiddos look pretty happy too. I think that is much more important than a tidy house!

I loved the pictures. Your house seems super homey. I bet you’re a real ‘hospitality’ kindof gal. WTG.

  5. Beautiful furniture! 🙂

I am wrapping up a survey (and contest) on internet security. I am quite interested in the results, since so many seem to have concerns as of late. Please stop by and answer the survey questions. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Janne/89977/

Your home looks very inviting!! I loved the picture of DS looking at you wondering why you’re taking a picture…my DS sees me coming with the camera to take a photo of something off beat and says, “Oh, you must be in search of a blog photo!” If you’re patching walls and baking banana bread…you go!! BTW, I love your bed!!

I love the photo of the rose. I used to have a rose called Princes de Monaco, or something like that, that photo looks just like it!! When we settle in our new house (and, hopefully, our last move), I ‘m going to order another one…I love that rose!

Oh my goodness I had the best laugh ever this morning – thanks to you!! I read a comment you left on another blog (about losing weight) so I had to visit your site. I laughed even more when I noticed these photos. You are a total riot!! It’s so nice to be able to show others your true self – what life is really like…like when someone unexpectedly shows up at your house and you are still in your pj’s, hair is a mess, teeth not brushed and the house a disaster. Thanks for sharing! I’m gonna add you to my friends list so I can read more in the future. Blessings, ~Kim~

I just found my way to your blog via the random blog button. And I must say I’m so happy to see someone else’s house looks like mine. You’ve inspired me to be a little more honest and reveal the REAL ME too! hahahahaha

Oh and the dirty feet are adorable!
