One doozie of a day

It's Sunday.  Thank the good Lord my hubbie is home.  The night ended with a trip to the ER for baby girl.  She fell today and hurt her leg and will not stand on it.  She is so pitiful.  It's swollen and nicely discolored.  Unsure whether or not it was broken we finally took her for x-rays about 8pm (she fell around 4 this afternoon).  My husband is such a dear.  He knows I hate the ER and so he “took a hit for the team” as he calls it and sat there with her tonight.  It actually seemed like a pretty quick trip.  They don't think it's broken but will have the radiologist look at it in the morning.  They sent her home with some pain medicine so I hope she sleeps well.
Anyone know how to keep a 2 year old still?  Tomorrow should be interesting!!

Aww. Kisses for the princess. Hope she’s feeling better soon.

Can you take walks with her in a stroller? Snuggle up with a good video for a bit? Take a bath or play in the bathtub with shaving cream or other fun (unusual) stuff?

Just some thoughts. We’ll keep you in our prayers!

  2. My little 2 year old broke her arm when she fell down one stair. The pediatric bone doctor (forgive me for not knowing what they are called) said that it is common for children under 5 to break bones whille just tripping over their own feet by walking. I was glad to hear it was common (as I was so afraid that her bones were frail breaking so easily). As for keeping a 2 year old still, LOL! My little one was back to normal the day she got her cast on (thankfully they had put her in a splint that night in the ER and we were able to get in and get a cast on with the pediatirc bone doctor the very next day). Now that I think about it, our accident happened on a Sunday too. Oh well, I hope the little one is feeling better soon!
