Well Florida is getting warmer and warmer. We’ve had several day of actual “beach” weather. 88 or above.
We ventured out to the beach this week as well as another trip to St. Augustine. I love both places. It was fun having company and also venturing out while learning.
We happened to be there at low tide and the tide just began to come in as we were leaving. We found all sorts of treasures. I have searched for the exact name of this particular starfish but with no luck. It was purple with orange edges…just beautiful.
and we sported our do-rags…
I captured these two guys resting. From all the dead sea life on the beach they were fat and happy…
The kids ran and played around. I love the action in this shot…
Here’s the whole motley crew….
And one of my sweet friends with her son…
More of St. Augustine later…
Your starfish friend was a Royal Starfish (Astropecten articulatus). Deadly poisonous man eater, you’re lucky it was baby 😉
I could not find that little booger anywhere. Thanks for providing the name. Seems it can be found in abundance off the coast of Florida only during certain times of the year. Well, this is it! We saw so many! Thanks for your time in finding our guy!

Oooh, those purple & orange starfish are SO pretty! What a cool find.
And I’ve been meaning to call or email you to say thanks for sending that fibro info a while back. I actually have a very similar product called Cell Power that I have used. Right now I’m trying to cut out refined sugar. I’m doing pretty well so far. Not perfect, but surprisingly well. ha!
Want to know a secret? My oldest has a sweetheart! We’re all kind of giddy about it. She seems like a really sweet girl.
That weather looks absolutely delightful, and those starfish are really neat.
